The desperate boy goes on a vacation to Silesia, where he meets his great-grandfather – a former miner and a highly colorful character. Together, they embark on a magical and dangerous journey through the world of Silesian legends to save their family. Everyone Has a Summer
Rebellious Agata arrives at a small town to cook for the Oasis. 17-year-old Mirek, a son of the local organist, falls in love with her. The girl reminds his dementia-ridden grandfather a lover from his younger days. Mirek uses grandpa’s illness to get closer to Agata. While the two discover their mutual feelings, a family secret deeply hidden by Mirek’s mother suddenly comes to light.
The Days of Transformation
Frydrychowice is an agricultural village in Wieprz commune near Krakow. 50-year-old Krzysztof Szczur leads an orderly life of a school caretaker until he is appointed the head of the local committee for World Youth Day. Several hundred Brazilians are going to stay in his village. Together with the village community, Krzysztof has to prepare to welcome the unusual guests from across the world. The topic of this humorous, observational documentary is not only the clash of the cultures but also interpersonal solidarity, unaffected by the country of birth, language or skin colour.
